First day of 2011
Alex said it’s silly to make resolutions on new years to accomplish this year…when you can make resolutions throughout the year and accomplish them…why wait until the end of the year? I don’t know but that makes sense…lol!
Well, today I managed to clean all my brushes in like an hour! I hardly wash them and need to get into the habit of cleaning them so I don’t break out ! The foundation brushes are a pain to clean. You have to really scrub inbetween the bristles to remove all the old foundation buildup! It’s quite gross to think you use this everyday and old bacteria is living inbetween the bristles! Yuck! I did my nails as well. I like to change my polish at least once a week since I won’t be allowed to wear them in mid-february for my placement :(.
I hung out with Alex after dinner. Nothing expensive and gas wasting. We just headed to a chinese supermarket and bought 12 spring rolls for $1 and some toasted loaf of bread. Then we got some drinks drom Tim Horton’s and went back to his place to finish watching The Town. Finished the chips we ate yesterday…feeling so yuckie after all these food but I can eat forever! The fact that Alex likes food really doesn’t help!!! Haha.
I need to stop reading people’s blogs and watching youtube makeup gurus talk about makeup! It’s really tempting to go and buy more makeup that I won’t even use so often. I just want more. I’m aiming for more drugstore brands and things I can get all-in-one for a lesser and valuable price in comparison to MAC single eyeshadows for equal price. Sigh :(
New year, but better me…
For new years eve, I did absolutely nothing crazy. I did a simple makeup look with no eye-makeup and went over to Alex’s house to watch some movies together :) I’m glad he doesn’t drink, we’re so much alike! What’s better than saving gas and money and staying indoors with your significant other? We much prefer to stay in and watch movies and pig out on junk food! And as we counted down to midnight, we kissed each other and wished each other a happy new year ;P
I’ve got so much to look forward to this year 2011. 2010 felt so short, summer felt so short and winter seems like it’s taking forever to go away! Lol. I’ve got many resolutions to accomplish. I’m looking forward to becoming a certified PSW and get a job by summer as a PSW and gain experience working in the health care field before I apply for nursing. I hope to find a part-time job next week and save up some cash for a trip and pay off my debts…and buy more makeup LMAO!!! I’m just looking forward to becoming a better person and accomplishing better things for the better and for my future. It’s so important for me as I grow older…there is no time to waste…there is a future waiting for me to create better lives for others. There is just so much I want to accomplish and 2011 is a good start to achieve some things.

Yesterday, Alex and I went to the Lisa’s Cosmetics warehouse sale. It took us an hour to get in, a little over an hour to choose things, and an hour to pay and leave! It was kinda fun. I love shopping with a man like Alex, although he seemed very frustrated by the wait at the registers!
Today was my first day at my placement for my program. It was only a tour for an hour at 10am than 7am! I was so glad I didn’t have to wake up that early. Starting tomorrow, it will be brutal as I will be starting 7am until 2pm for the next 4 weeks! :( I’m quite nervous, I don’t know what to expect!
